About Me

Sophie at the Solheim Cup

Hi I’m Sophie. I am class of 2030 and I love to golf! My goal is to play high school and college golf. I love to compete; even if it’s just a round against my dad, or a tournament, I always try my best to win! I am always looking for ways to improve my swing, stamina, and mental game.

I first started golf when I was 3 years old and my dad gave me plastic golf clubs. My parents soon noticed that I was doing everything with my left hand! Soon after I got my first pair of U.S Kids left handed golf clubs. Then I started taking lessons and I played PGA Jr. League when I was 5 years old. Then, I started playing in U.S Kids tournaments (I even played one in South Africa!). Now, I am playing on many different tours, but mostly in Peggy Kirk Bell Tournaments, Notah Begay III, U.S. Kids (International and National), and the Florida Suncoast Junior Tour. In past years I have twice qualified for the Regional Drive Chip and Putt competition. In May 2026, I played in the U.S. Kids European Championship in Scotland and in August 2026, the Notah Begay III Regional Championship. I am also currently the Ladies Club Champion at my home club.
